Perfect Pairing with CRATE Brewery at Pennthorne's Cafe Bar
The craft beer revolution has taken over London. But while we love our new favourite Pale Ale how much do we really know about the art of brewing or how to enjoy the perfect beer and food pairing? Londoners can now enjoy a monthly masterclass at Pennethorne’s Cafe Bar at Somerset House, which has teamed up with renowned London brewery, CRATE, to unlock the secrets of hops.
On Tuesday 12th May Pennethorne’s Cafe Bar opens its doors to CRATE Brewery. CRATE’s master brewers will host a FREE Beer Workshop, presenting the delicious CRATE beers fresh from their brewery in Hackney, and sharing their keen eye (and keen taste buds) for the best brew.
CRATE Brewery, established in 2012 in Hackney Wick, specialises in creating craft beers. The nine locally brewed beers include golden ales, zesty bitters, velvety stouts and crisp ciders. The master brew team of four use the finest British malts and international hops, coupled with their unique brewing skills to created truly mouth-watering results.
The CRATE brewers’ unique skill set when it comes to brewing the perfect blend will be revealed as they teach visitors the difference between each speciality beer. Tasting sessions will take place, offering participants the chance to try the delicious brews for themselves. What’s more, Pennethorne’s fantastic chefs will be busy in the kitchen, enhancing the tasting session by demonstrating the perfect food pairing for each beer.
The CRATE Beer Workshop starts at 5pm on Tuesday 12 May.
Spaces are limited.
